"Eli Lilly and Company believes it is our responsibility as a good corporate citizen to help strengthen the communities in which we live and work." This statement is proclaimed in the company’s Employee Volunteerism Policy. The policy provides for company-sponsored programs, time away from work, viewing volunteer involvement as a source for career development, and recognition for community service.
AreaLink is proud to work with the employees of Lilly. Lilly is a leader in the pharmaceutical industry. The company employs more than 43,000 people worldwide and markets its medicines in 146 countries.
The Clothe-A-Child program which is completely administered by employees provides a much needed method to supply children with clothing during the Christmas holiday season. Donations and sponsorships are provided by company suppliers and vendors as well as many of the Lilly employees that have developed the program over the past few years.
The new website project is an internal company website that allows employees, donors and partners to access forms, schedules and information about the program as well as view the photo galleries of program events such as the annual golf outings and auction.
AreaLink applauds the Lilly employees for their wonderful work and support of needy children through their efforts with the Clothe-A-Child program.
